Between an eau de Cologne, an eau de toilette, a eau de parfum or perfume, it is sometimes difficult to find your way around and even more so to choose. But then what are the differences between these types of fragrances?

Finally, pure perfume concentrate is a fatty substance and only evaporates when mixed with alcohol. Everything is then a question of concentration and dilution of the perfume in the alcohol. There is no legislation concerning the dosage but uses...

The perfume, the most concentrated
At the top of the scale we find perfume with a concentration of 20 to 40%. The most noble and also the most expensive essence, this one is often applied to the skin in small quantities and its hold on the skin lasts all day. This type of perfume is relatively rare and is replaced by eau de parfum.

Eau de Parfum, rich and powerful
The more common eau de parfum has a concentration between 13 and 20%. Its heart and base notes are important, its hold and diffusion, rich and powerful. The eau de parfum will stay on your skin throughout the day.

Eau de toilette, light and subtle
Eau de toilette, more subtle and light than eau de parfum, it has a concentration ranging from 8 to 12%. It is a perfume that we wear every day, ideally in summer. Its perfume concentration being lower, its hold on the skin is shorter.

Eau de Cologne, light and refreshing
Eau de Cologne is a fresh and light water with a very low concentration of perfume ranging from 3 to 5%. Mainly elaborated around citrus, fruity or floral notes, cologne does not stay long on the skin, and due to its low concentration of perfume, it remains the cheapest on the market. It is ideal for refreshing yourself several times during the hot days of summer.
